Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tour Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a travel enthusiast, having a keen eye for detail and possess the ability to create bespoke travel itineraries that cater to the unique needs and preferences of our global clientele. As a Tour Consultant at Olanka Travels, you will be responsible for ensuring that each trip is an unforgettable experience, from the initial consultation to their return home.
Job Profile
- Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences and budgets, providing expert advice on destinations and travel options.
- Itinerary Planning: Design and tailor bespoke travel itineraries, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for the client.
- Reservations and Coordination: Manage all aspects of the reservation/booking process, including flights, accommodation, tours and other travel services.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the client’s journey, addressing any inquiries, changes or issues that may arise.
- Market Research: Stay updated on the latest travel trends, destinations and services to provide clients with the best possible options.
- Sales and Marketing: Assist in promoting and selling travel packages, ensuring targets are met.
The Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in a tour consultant or travel advisor role.
- A Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in any discipline or specifically in Tourism, Hospitality or a related field is an added advantage.
- Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal/PR skills to connect with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in travel booking systems and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for travel and a deep knowledge of global destinations is an added advantage.
