ASSISTANT CREDIT MANAGER / CREDIT MANAGER

JOB PROFILE:

  • Overseeing accounts receivables, ensuring timely implementation of the credit policy, accurate system entries, and regular distribution of reports to the sales team and management.
  • Receivable management: Ensure timely payment collections from the customer with the coordination of the sales team. Printing & circulating the monthly debtors’ statements to the customers.
  • Exposure Management: Monitor the credit exposure of the customers to ensure necessary collaterals are obtained from customers, in coordination with the sales team.
  • Recovery actions: Monitoring cheque returns, notifying the Sales team & the customers and following up with the settlements. Initiate timely legal actions whenever required.
  • Custodian of Collaterals: Maintaining the records of bank guarantees, Promissory notes, cheques etc. of the customers and ensuring compliance related are adhered to.
  • Treasury Management: Handling treasury and investment management for the company.
  • Compliance: Ensure to comply with the law of the land and company policies on receivable and Treasury management.
  • Ensure Credit checks and verifications comply with internal policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience including Account receivables, credit control or a related function with the finance or retail industry.
  • Part qualified in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or a Bachelor's degree.
  • Skilled in evaluating payment behavior, and identifying the high-risk accounts/customers with accuracy and insight.
  • Hands-on experience with recognized accounting packages such as SAP and advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Prior experience in handling debtors’ meetings and credit control functions.
  • Below 40 years of age.
