JOB ROLE
Investment Analysis & Deal Structuring
- Source, screen, and evaluate potential SME investment opportunities.
- Lead or support due diligence (commercial, financial, ESG, legal).
- Draft investment memos, pitch decks, and materials for investment committees.
- Support portfolio monitoring, including financial and impact performance.
SME Advisory & Investment Readiness
- Diagnose SME needs and assess readiness for debt or equity investment.
- Deliver technical assistance in areas such as business model development, financial planning, governance, and growth strategy.
- Help SMEs prepare investor-ready materials including pitch decks, financial statements, and forecasts.
- Coach SMEs on engaging with investors, negotiating terms, and managing post-investment expectations.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis, SME advisory, private equity, venture building, or impact finance.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk and return.
- Proven experience working directly with SMEs to improve operational or financial performance.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with impact measurement, ESG frameworks, or blended finance is a strong plus.
- Experience in emerging markets or underserved sectors preferred.
- Have an entrepreneurship mentality.
