VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Sudath Perera Associates (www.sudathpereraassociates.com) is looking to recruit an Attorney-at-Law for the Brand Protection Department of the firm.
Job Role
The role involves assisting the Brand Protection & Anti-Counterfeiting Department in intellectual property rights enforcement work, including legal research, legal drafting, enforcement litigation in the Commercial High Court and Magistrates Courts, and other related tasks.
Requirements
- Attorney-at-Law, with 2-4 years’ work experience. Prior civil litigation experience preferred.
- Strong academic qualifications with a 2:1 (or equivalent) undergraduate Law degree. Knowledge in intellectual property law required.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills (strong proficiency in legal drafting in English and Sinhala required).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, challenging environment with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
- Well-disciplined and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and provide guidance where necessary.
- Candidates should possess a desire to pursue a career in intellectual property enforcement law and demonstrate the capability to contribute to departmental leadership.
