Lecturer - Financial Modelling and Forecasting (Visiting)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our institution as a Visiting Lecturer in Financial Modelling and Forecasting. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic excellence of our institution by delivering engaging lectures, sharing practical insights from their industry experience, and fostering an interactive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Course Delivery:
Conduct lectures on forecasting methods and models subjects for undergraduates used in business and economic analysis.
- Student Engagement:
Facilitate class discussions, group activities, and other interactive sessions to enhance student understanding. Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their academic and professional development.
- Assessments & Evaluation:
Design and administer assessments, assignments, and exams to evaluate student comprehension.
- Subject Matter Expertise:
Bring real-world industry experience to the classroom, connecting theoretical concepts to practical applications. Stay updated on developments in business and management to ensure course relevance.
- Teaching Methodology:
Integrate case studies, practical examples, and industry-related projects into lectures.
- Collaboration:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the academic community. Collaborate with academic faculty to align the course with institutional goals and standards.
Qualification:
- A UGC-approved bachelor’s degree in Statistics (BSc) or Economics (BA) – Special Degree from a recognized State or Private University
- Achieved a First Class or Second Upper Division (2:1)
- Industry experience related to real-world forecasting and financial modelling applications.
- Proficiency in statistical software tools, particularly R programming and/or Eviews
