Job Summary:

We are seeking a detailed-oriented Windows System Administrator with experience in regulated environments to support and maintain our Windows-based IT infrastructure. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance in alignment with GxP (Good Practice) requirements and other life sciences industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and manage Windows servers in support of laboratory, clinical, and enterprise systems.
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and access controls across a regulated environment.
  • Ensure system integrity and compliance with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain and support infrastructure used by laboratory information management systems (LIMS), electronic lab notebooks (ELN), and validated applications.
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to support audits, system validation, and documentation.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement patches or upgrades as necessary.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
  • Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Provide tier 2/3 support for escalated issues and service requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator, preferably in a life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and file systems.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA).
  • Experience with validated systems and change management practices.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and system automation.
  • Experience supporting virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, AZ-800/801) and/or experience with cloud environments (e.g., Azure) are a plus.
  • Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
