The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL), popularly known as Lake House, is the hub of print media in Sri Lanka with a proud history of excellence. We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Auto Electrician to join our dynamic team.
AUTO ELECTRICIAN VEHICLE
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Certificate or Diploma in Auto Electrical Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in a commercial fleet maintenance environment.
- Sound knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
- Experience working with modern vehicle diagnostic equipment and software.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- A valid driving license (light/heavy vehicle category would be an added advantage).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in company vehicles, including cars, vans, and other commercial vehicles.
- Install, repair, and maintain vehicle wiring systems, lighting, alternators, starters, batteries, and other electrical components.
- Perform scheduled electrical maintenance and safety inspections.
- Operate diagnostic tools to identify and rectify issues in electronic control units (ECUs) and other onboard systems.
- Maintain records of repairs and maintenance work carried out.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
