About the Role

The Head of Education Department is responsible for the academic strategy and delivery, curriculum development, and operational leadership of ESOFT’s education department portfolio. This role ensures that the educational offerings are aligned with institutional goals, regulatory standards, and industry expectations while maintaining academic excellence and innovation.

The Job

  • Lead academic planning and curriculum development for programmes under the department.
  • Ensure teaching, learning, and assessments are of high quality and meet accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement education department strategies in alignment with the organization's vision.
  • Analyze trends in education and integrate them into programme development.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, partner university reviews.
  • Collaborate with academic partners, industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the academic department in leadership meetings and external forums.
  • Ensure timely delivery of academic calendars, timetables and exam schedules.
  • Work closely with branch academics to ensure consistency across all centres.

The Person

  • Currently reading for a PhD or already holds a PhD in Education or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
  • First degree and masters in Education or a relevant academic field.
  • Research publications in recognized academic journals.
  • Minimum of 5 years in academic management, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, accreditation and managing academic teams.
  • Deep understanding of pedagogical practices, curriculum frameworks and education innovation.
