About the role
Here at Karmo, we’re on a mission to evolve the way we access private transportation. We have established product lines and an established customer base and we are experiencing a sustained growth spurt which is driving us to building a larger business encompassing a variety of alternatives to traditional car ownership, placing Karmo in the sweet spot of the burgeoning mobility as a service (MaaS) industry in Australia.
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to work with the engineering team and taking our product development to the next level. As a funded startup, you will work directly with the QA lead, Engineers, Product Managers, Development Manager on building our core software offerings, as well as working with our operations team, helping to ensure we are building the products aligned to our roadmap to support our next growth phase.
As a part of Karmo’s development team, you will work collaboratively with our product team and lead developer to help bring Karmo’s products and services to life, ensuring we meet our customers’ needs and also pushing the boundaries of what our platform can do.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated QA scripts in Cypress
- create new test cases within scripts when new functionality is delivered to ensure full regression coverage in future releases
- maintain the existing automated test suite and produce iterative improvements
- Plan, execute, and oversee product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables.
- Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Develop or update procedures for capture, investigation, and documentation of product complaints.
- Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to managers and product developers.
- Provide training and support to quality assurance team members that covers systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
About you
- Over 3 years of related QA experience with an emphasis on automated QA in Cypress or an equivalent framework
- Experience with writing automated tests in Javascript/Typescript (desired)
- Familiar with JIRA ticket management system
- Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management
- Understanding of agile/scrum methodology and how QA functions within it
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is preferred
- Professional fluency in English is preferred
Karmo Work Style
You can expect to work from our Colombo office 3 days and working from home 2 days per week, so we can conduct high bandwidth team meetings / strategy sessions / general work. However, you can work from home on days where face to face work is not required.
