Graphic Designer & Video Editor
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer and Video Editor to manage the creative output of Mount Lavinia Hotel. The ideal candidate will develop compelling visual content that captures our unique heritage, colonial charm, and stunning coastal setting while driving engagement across our marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Create distinctive visual designs for both print and digital marketing materials
- Produce and edit high-quality videos showcasing hotel amenities, events, and experiences
- Develop and maintain consistent branding across all platforms
- Manage and create engaging content for all social media channels
- Design promotional materials including brochures, menus, banners, and advertisements
- Collaborate with marketing team to create compelling visual campaigns
- Capture and edit photography as needed for marketing materials
- Create motion graphics and animations for digital platforms
- Archive and organize all visual assets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design and video editing
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both graphic design and video editing skills
- Experience with social media content creation and management
- Understanding of hospitality industry marketing is preferred
- Excellent visual storytelling abilities
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of current design trends and best practices
Skills & Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of composition, typography, and color theory
- Strong video shooting and editing capabilities
- Understanding of responsive design principles
- Familiarity with content management systems
- Basic photography skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
