WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR
We are seeking an energetic Workshop Instructor to join our Thrive Sheltered Workshop programme, designed for young adults with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide guidance to trainees with intellectual disabilities in the creation of handicrafts.
- Design and adapt craft products to suit various skill levels and abilities.
- Identify marketable handmade products that can be feasibly produced by trainees and work to bring them to market.
- Encourage creativity, skill development, and independence among participants.
Candidate Requirements:
- Passion for inclusion/working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- GCE A/L qualification or equivalent.
- Creative skills in handicrafts or arts-based activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and IT literacy.
- Ability to adapt tasks to meet individual needs and abilities.
- BA or equivalent in an relevant field (Special Education, Psychology or Design etc) a plus.
