Accountant/Senior Accountant - General Ledger
Veracity Group is the global outsourcing arm of St Anthony's Group of Industries, specializing in Business Process Management and Knowledge Process Management Services in key areas of Finance & Accounting, Process Automation, Data Science & AI, Mobility and Customer Experience Services. We cater to a diverse portfolio of clients from the US, UK, Australia, Middle East and Sri Lanka.
We are looking for experienced resources to join our team for a Power & Energy company in the Middle East. This position will be based in Sri Lanka. Our client is a developer, investor and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants with 64 assets in operation, construction, or advanced development across 13 countries, with an investment value in excess 66 Billion.
The Role
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Involve in all accounting operations including, A/R, A/P & GL.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closure processes
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Work closely with the Finance Manager / Financial Controller & client teams
- Assist in training of new staff
The Person
- Final level of CA Sri Lanka/CIMA/ACCA or Degree holder in Commerce/Business Management
- Finance from a reputed university.
- Have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity
- FRS’s Working knowledge
- Experience working with reputed ERP systems. Working knowledge of Oracle and HFM is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability and willingness to work based on client calendar and working hours
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Age between 25 - 40
