Michelin Lanka Wheel Manufacturing Team based in Ekala includes various achievers, authentic and industrious people from different backgrounds. This role collaborates closely with team members, senior management and a variety of stakeholders in Michelin group entitles.
ENGINEERING MECHANIC- CNC & AUTOMATION
The mission of the engineering mechanic (CNC & Automation) is to "To perform CNC and automation installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, as well as related engineering projects, while adhering to all safety and health guidelines implemented in the factory."
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated systems, robots, and CNC machines.
- Perform regular maintenance on PLCs and HMIs (Siemens) to ensure smooth operations.
- Inspect machine functionality, manage daily routines, and maintain accurate records.
- Quickly respond to machine breakdowns and resolve issues with supervisor guidance.
- Follow the preventive maintenance schedule and complete tasks on time, identifying any abnormalities or parts needed and notifying the supervisor.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electronic equipment, including servo drives and control systems for CNC and automation.
- Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines during machine operations and repairs.
Requirements:
- You have Passed G.C.E O/L.
- You hold a NVQ Level 4 in Electrical/Electronics/Automation Engineering or equivalent.
- You have 2 to 3 years’ experience in Electronics and Automation Systems.
- You have previous experience in CNC Systems is an added advantage.
- You have good communication (Sinhala and basic English) and interpersonal skills.
