VACANCY – ASSISTANT MANAGER – EDUCATION

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team at the Plastics & Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL) as an Assistant Manager - Education. This role is pivotal to enhancing the educational initiatives of our institute and involves assisting the Director General in overseeing educational programs and contributing to the strategic goals of PRISL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director General to plan, organize, and oversee educational initiatives and curriculum development.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to promote excellence in education delivery.
  • Manage educational programs and workshops that align with the institute’s strategic goals.
  • Supervise and mentor educational staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the education team.
  • Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and external stakeholders to address inquiries and ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management for educational initiatives.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure they align with budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure educational programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in educational standards and integrate them into PRISL’s practices.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to educational performance, including metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education management or relevant field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to the development and execution of PRISL’s educational plans.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
