We Are Hiring Field Officers!
Field Officers (with agronomist knowledge) are being recruited from the following areas: Monaragala, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Buttala, Embilipitiya, Gampola, Weerawila
Ceylon Agro Food Technologies Pvt Ltd (CAFT) is an agriculture research and development company focused on farming automation and food value addition. Our objective is to produce and disseminate high tech agricultural solutions to the sector.
CAFT is seeking an agronomist to join its commercial arm, which is providing drone-based solutions to farmers, predominantly in Paddy.
Training will be conducted in the CAFT head office in 149/17 Rose Garden, Hokandara South, Colombo. Following the training period, the employee will be based in their respective area.
Responsibilities:
- Market CAFT technology to farmers.
- Canvas orders for spraying using drones.
- Prepare weekly spraying schedule and optimize drone team deployment.
- Manage petty cash and daily expenses.
- Maintain daily spraying reports.
- Share knowledge and assist paddy farmers to optimize use of fertilisers, weedicides and fungicides.
- Manage production and distribution of promotional materials.
- Monitor the agronomical impacts of CAFT services such as drone based chemical spraying and seed broadcasting.
- Conduct multispectral crop analysis.
- Conduct leaf and soil sample analysis.
- Generate crop analysis reports to farmers and plantation sector.
Profile:
- Prior experience in sales, Agro chemicals, or fertilizer is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in Sinhala, and working knowledge of written English.
- Self-motivated and willing to travel to field locations.
- Age below 30 years preferred.
