Dimension of the role
- Supporting the Assistant Manager – Merchandising in the creation, rollout, and maintenance of planograms across all store formats, ensuring visual merchandising consistency and commercial effectiveness.
- Design and update planograms using planogram software (e.g., JDA, Spaceman).
- Collaborate with category managers and suppliers to align product placement with sales and promotional strategies.
- Analyze sales data and customer behavior to optimize shelf layouts.
- Ensure planogram compliance through audits and store visits.
- Support new store openings and category resets with tailored planogram solutions.
- Train store teams on planogram standards and execution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
Minimum requirements
- G.C.E A/L, preferably with a diploma or certification in merchandising, retail management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in retail merchandising or planogramming, preferably in a supermarket or FMCG environment.
- Proficiency in planogram software (e.g., JDA, Spaceman).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Good IT knowledge (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge in both oral and written to complement the effectiveness of the job role.
- Detail-oriented with a strong visual sense.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
