Overview of the Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Project Engineer to support our ongoing and upcoming projects. This role plays a critical part in planning, designing, and coordinating scaffolding solutions across various construction and industrial sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop technical scaffolding designs and layouts using software based on project requirements, site conditions, and safety standards.
- Provide technical input and solutions during the planning phase of construction and maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and supervisors to coordinate scaffolding installation, modifications, and dismantling.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather measurements, analyse structures, and verify scaffold requirements.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including calculations, method statements, risk assessments, and material take-offs.
- Ensure scaffolding designs comply with relevant industry standards and internal safety protocols.
- Coordinating, managing and maintaining the construction sites to achieve the optimum profitability and project durations.
- Coordinate with the other & related departments for the smooth operation of the projects and assisting the contracts team with the costing.
Education Required and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management preferable in scaffolding engineering will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency and exposure in scaffolding design software will be an added advantage.
Competencies and Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of scaffolding systems (e.g., tube & clamp, system scaffold, frame) and engineering principles.
- Familiarity with local and international scaffolding standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
