BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Your Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals that contribute to our company's growth. You'll work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify customers in the Sri Lankan market and approach them weekly.
  • Identifying customers overseas in the African and Asian regions with weekly KPIs.
  • Identifying potential sites weekly and reporting to Head Office.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential funders, partners, and stakeholders to support global expansion initiatives.
  • Develop strategic plans to target and penetrate key markets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Track market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth. Identify and pursue grant and award funding opportunities to support organizational growth and innovation.
  • Research and develop international business opportunities, including market entry strategies and partnership development.
  • Monitor funding landscapes and international markets to anticipate trends and align strategic plans accordingly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Business Development or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a passion for building relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
