In Sri Lanka FLINTEC employs under European management a team in excess of 900 people in most modern facilities in EPZs in Katunayake & Koggala, dedicated to highest quality work and great ambition to support the expansion of our business.
We are looking for an individual with good interpersonal skills to be a team player with high level of energy & enthusiasm for the post of;
Project Management Engineer
The Role
- The candidate will be a professional responsible for the project coordination & live reporting of engineering projects.
- Working for & reporting to the Engineering Manager of Flintec Sri Lanka.
- Working closely with the Engineering Managers, Project Managers, Sales and Procurement teams.
- Cover all aspects of the design process from initial scope definition & project kick-off right thru to the product launch at our production facilities.
- Communicate to Senior Management through project reviews, updates and snapshots of the project including highlighting issues, risks in a timely manner using company project management (PM) intranet live reporting systems.
Key experience & qualifications required:
- Good communicator, fluent in English with excellent written & oral communication skills.
- Managed / coordinated engineering projects ideally across engineering disciplines & across multiple times offices & cultures with a proven track record.
- Able to articulate to both internal engineers, suppliers & customers at all levels.
- Should have knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar software.
- PMP or Prince2 Practitioner with at least 2 years’ working experience in a similar role.
- Minitab statistical understanding would be an advantage.
- Should have a basic engineering knowledge/understanding of mechanical, electronic & software development cycle.
- Degree in Engineering, Quality or Project Management is a desirable plus.
- Ability to work according to US & Europe time zones.
Selected candidate will be based in Engineering Department at Koggala facility with frequent commutes required to support Koggala Engineering office. As well they should be willing to work in any of the local or foreign facilities of the alliance depend on work requirements. Some overseas travels may be required on larger projects.
