ASSISTANT MANAGER - STUDENT AFFAIRS

ANC Education is one of the largest private education conglomerates operating in Sri Lanka, offering a full spectrum of educational programmes from pre-school, high school, undergraduate to postgraduate programmes; in its six education providers. ANC currently provides fully comprehensive and accredited American, Australian and UK undergraduate & postgraduate educational programmes in Sri Lanka.

We are looking for a young and dynamic individual to join our Student Affairs Office at Head Office (Colombo) and support the team with student affairs activities.

The successful candidate must be friendly and persuasive. You must be able to liaise with students, parents and ANC Academic/ Non Academic teams to give the expected outcome of the job role. The ideal candidate will also be patient and cool-tempered to deal with aggressiveness and complaints. The goal is to improve the student satisfaction rate towards ANC with the student retention rate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSc in Marketing/ Administration, Student Relations or similar

EXPERIENCE:

  • Not less than 3 years of experience in a similar capacity

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the campus life, student engagement activities, satisfaction and retention of the institute together with the Head of the Department.
  • Oversees the development of intervention and prevention programming that supports students in achieving success.
  • Supports the institute’s/ institute’s response to the student behaviour and conduct issues, ensuring policy and protocol followed.
  • Works with the Student Discipline Officer and oversees student behavior, and guiding students as needed.
  • Supports the students with their grievances.
  • Works with the Head of the Department, Head of Academic Compliance, Academics, AAO, Finance teams to ensure effective, cross-department service and support.
  • Ensures consistent record keeping for academic and non-academic misconduct and case management files.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with the academic Faculties and other campus partners to ensure collaborative approaches to programming, planning, service referrals, delivery, student retention and engagement.
  • Collaborates with the internal teams to retain students.
  • Works collaboratively on committees and processes which require consideration of student wellness, satisfaction and development.
  • Envisions, develops, and implements new programs, initiatives, strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure student success, satisfaction and wellbeing.
  • Represents the University regarding extraordinary activities, special initiatives, or committees at the community, provincial or international level.
  • Supports the institute’s/institute’s response to the student behaviour and conduct.
