Industrial Engineering (IE) Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Industrial Engineering (IE) function by driving productivity improvements and operational efficiencies across production lines.
- Develop and implement robust production planning and line balancing strategies based on style requirements and delivery timelines.
- Standardize work methods through time and motion studies, GSD implementation, and method engineering to optimize manpower utilization.
- Continuously analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks, implement lean manufacturing practices, and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with merchandising, planning, and production teams to ensure timely achievement of production targets.
- Guide and train IE executives and production staff on best practices in efficiency improvement, layout planning, and capacity enhancement.
- Monitor KPI metrics and lead initiatives to meet or exceed factory performance benchmarks.
- Drive digital transformation projects within the IE function to streamline data collection and reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering within the apparel manufacturing industry.
- A Degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing, GSD, SMV calculation, and work-study techniques.
- Proven ability to lead teams and implement systematic improvements in large-scale production setups.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/MIS systems used in apparel manufacturing.
- Age between 30 and 45 years is preferred.
