We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to our supply chain arm of DGL Supply Chain Solutions Pvt Limited, Muthurajawela.
Assistant Manager - Operations
The person whom we are looking for shall be with experience in 3PL operations. The prospective candidate should be aggressive in achieving Operations Excellence. The right fit will have a definite career growth within the company based on the excellent achievements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and continually improve warehouse workflows, ensuring alignment with SOPs and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular process audits and spot checks to detect inefficiencies, non-compliance, or inventory inconsistencies.
- Oversee the proper execution of receipt orders, dispatches, and stock movements, ensuring data accuracy and operational transparency.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance service levels.
- Act as the operational point of contact for internal departments, clients, and transport providers to ensure smooth coordination.
- Monitor and ensure on-time deliveries and accurate order fulfillment in line with customer expectations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to logistics, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Implement and monitor cycle count schedules to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Assist the General Manager in budget planning and cost control, especially in relation to inventory handling, storage efficiency, and loss reduction.
Executive - Operations
The person whom we are looking for shall be with experience in 3PL operations. The prospective candidate should be thorough with daily operations of inbound & outbound shipments of 3PL in a large warehouse accountable for Inventory and Operational efficiency. The right fit will have a definite career growth within the company based on the excellent achievements.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit operational processes and associated documentation to detect and correct inefficiencies or inconsistencies in the inventory system.
- Maintain organized and efficient material handling and storage systems within the warehouse.
- Supervise and coordinate for accurate and timely processing of Goods receipt orders.
- Dispatch orders, Inventory requisitions.
- Ensure that delivery timelines and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal departments (sales, Admin, finance, etc.) and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate and maintain CW system to support inventory, tracking, and reporting needs.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of warehouse contract staff, ensuring new hires are well-oriented and productive.
- Provide day-to-day support to warehouse employees, stepping in operationally when needed to maintain workflow continuity.
- Demonstrate strong people management skills by explaining operational goals, delegating tasks, and motivating and leading team members to achieve performance targets.
Qualifications
- BSc Logistics Management or related Professional qualifications
- Minimum 05 years’ experience in similar capacity
- Sound Communication skills in both English & Sinhala
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
