Hellmann MAS Supply Chain (HMSC) is a Joint venture between Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (HWL) and MAS Holdings. HMSC provides its services to MAS as well as Hellmann’s existing contract logistics customers. Services offered by HMSC includes warehousing, value-added services, and 4PL logistics services.
Trainee/Intern - Fourth Party Logistics (Colombo)
The Trainee/Intern period will cover the below tasks:
- Ensure to update and maintain freight inquiry tracker and master file within 24 within hrs from enquiry received date to meet the KPI.
- Management of forwarders booking reports to ensure utilization.
- Share Freight reports or reports related to freight cost / volume reports with the BUs as per agreed timeline.
- Participate in the freight procurement activity for accurate and on time rate procurement process.
- Prepare reports on schedule basis and on request by the management (DTR/DSR & SOA).
- Contribute to resolve issues between vendors and customers on freight related issues and escalate if required.
- Work with operation team to complete cost bookings before every month end closing.
- Share Freight reports or reports related to provisions with the BUs as per agreed timeline.
- Auditing and Dispatching HMSC freight invoices within 48 Hours from the posting date.
- Contribute System automation activities to be carried out for departmental process improvements.
Qualifications
- Completed or following Degree/Diploma in Logistics Management or Equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in IT Literacy/MS word/excel/teams.
- Understanding of basic accounting.
- Knowledge in Freight Forwarding and Logistics will be an added advantage.
