Job Advertisement: Chemist – Boiler Operation Plant (Mirigama EPZ)
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chemist to join our team at the Boiler Operation Plant located in the Mirigama Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and advanced chemical testing of boiler water, feed water, and condensate.
- Monitor and maintain chemical dosing systems to ensure optimal boiler performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all test results and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with the operations team to troubleshoot and resolve chemical-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or power plant setting.
- Familiarity with boiler water chemistry and associated testing procedures.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available for shift work and emergency support.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
