Accountant

The group is currently involved in the businesses of Lifestyle, Consumer, Healthcare, Insurance, Shipping, Aviation and Travel, and Manufacturing. We are seeking meticulous and experienced individuals to join our finance team as Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial statements with precision, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
- Assist in the finalization of Annual audits by providing comprehensive documentation and liaising with auditors.
- Manage daily working capital by updating cash positions and overseeing cash flow activities.
- Authorize cheques, petty cash payments, and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Monitor project profitability on a weekly basis and manage advance schedules.
- Ensure payments align with BOQ line items and oversee cost overrun schedules.
- Approve product and job costing to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including stock verification, GRN certification, and MRN/GIN monitoring.
- Prepare and manage VAT, SSCL, and other statutory payments to ensure timely compliance.
- Supervise factory accounting operations and maintain an organized general ledger.
Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
- Professional certifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CMA will be an added advantage.
- At least 6-7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles and at least 1 year experience in similar capacity, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, job costing, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
