Manager – Trade & Correspondent Banking
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and manage Correspondent Bank relationships globally to facilitate trade, letters of guarantee, and treasury transactions, ensuring compliance with KYC and AML standards.
- Drive trade finance activities, identify new market opportunities, and support revenue and customer service targets.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to increase trade product utilization and revenue.
- Review trade applications for accuracy, compliance and completeness; responsible for trade related cost management where applicable.
- Regularly review tariffs, manage service level agreements, and handle complex transactions to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all functions within the Trade Services Department are controlled and managed in accordance with established policies and guidelines, maintaining operational integrity.
- Build stronger relationships with internal and external customers to demonstrate exemplary service and create a positive perception.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Full or part qualification in Banking or Finance/ Degree from a recognized university.
- Diploma in Trade Management is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of URDG 758/UCP 600/URC 522/URR 725/ISBP & Trade Products.
- Good communication/interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse and make decisions independently.
