We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sewing Technician with expertise in ladies wear to join our production team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of garment construction, proficiency in using industrial sewing machines, and experience working with a variety of fabrics used in women's fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sewing machines and other garment production equipment (lockstitch, overlock, cover stitch, etc.).
- Assemble garments accurately according to specifications, patterns, and quality standards.
- Interpret and follow technical sheets, samples, and sewing instructions.
- Ensure precise stitching, finishing, and overall garment quality.
- Work with different types of fabrics including woven, knits, chiffon, silk, and stretch materials.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, quality controllers, and designers to resolve construction issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following health and safety regulations.
- Report machine malfunctions or production issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Assist in training or mentoring junior sewing staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Gender: Female / Male
- Age: below 50 years
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years in sewing ladies wear garments.
- Technical Skills: Skilled in operating industrial sewing machines and understanding garment construction.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of ladies fashion trends and garment fits.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in stitching and finishing.
- Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently in a team-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Garment Technology, Tailoring, or a related field.
- Experience with high-fashion or custom ladies wear production.
- Knowledge of pattern-making and basic garment repairs.
