Assistant Manager - Production/ Senior Executive - Production
Candidate Profile:
We are seeking a dynamic individual with the following qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree or equal qualification in Production/ Operations Management or a related field from a recognized institute.
- Age between 35 and 45 years.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Garment Production Sector of which at least 02 years should be in Senior role.
- Demonstrated capacity to independently manage the production with exceptional communication and writing skills.
- Experience in handling company compliance and a union-based environment is advantageous.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in Ja-ela, Minuwangoda or Negombo.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Manager - Production/ Senior Executive – Production you will be responsible for:
- Assist in developing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet targets.
- Ensure production activities are aligned with demand forecasts, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Supervise and lead production staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
- Monitor production processes and make recommendations for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing resource utilization.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee raw material availability and manage WIP (Work in Progress) and finished goods inventories.
- Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports, downtime logs, and efficiency metrics.
- Generate regular reports for senior management on production KPIs.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs for the production team.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery is in good working condition.
- Conduct periodic safety drills and ensure adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
