SENIOR REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN
We are seeking a seasoned Head of Engineering and Maintenance to join our Engineering team. Job Responsibilities
- Install, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in freezers, display cases, ice machines)
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Read technical manuals, blueprints, and refrigeration schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues (compressors, condensers, controls)
- Conduct leak checks, refrigerant recovery, charging, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Keep detailed service logs and communicate with clients and team members
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment, facilities, and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
- Lead and manage repair activities, ensuring completion within established timelines and budget constraints
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all equipment, machinery, and refrigeration systems in the factory
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance on repair and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance work and minimize operational disruptions
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
- High diploma (or equivalent); vocational/trade certification in refrigeration or HVAC is a plus
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance management, preferably within a food processing environment involving refrigeration systems
- In-depth technical expertise in industrial equipment, machinery, and refrigeration systems
- Exceptional problem-solving, and ability to work independently
