INTERN - DESIGNER
Location – Teejay Lanka PLC – Avissawella
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join the Research & Development (Innovation) team to ensure product development, deliver customer satisfaction, drive profitable projects and ensure a smooth production floor.
The Job
Primary job role will be;
- Textile forecast, research and analysis.
- Market mapping/competitor’s analysis
- Influence and aid to drive team members on seasonal design brief
- Participate customer visits in presenting the Teejay Innovations to the customer in attractive manner
- Develop the Teejay Novelty Collection with the help of the product developers
- Design the print artworks, product brochures/video & other design related documentations
- Interpret seasonal color stories into textile designs.
- Convert technical explanations into the stories in design language
- Keep textile design files updated and organized
Skills Required
- Experience in designing a fashion/ textile Collections
- Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop software knowledge & experience
- Textile trend-ideas to fabric design
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, Creative sense of style
- Knowledge of fabric structures, colors and prints, Strong organizational skills
The Person
- B.Design/ BA/ BSc degree/ Undergraduate in Fashion Designing
- Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- Task prioritization, time management and multi-tasking ability while being a good team player
