BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
R I L Property PLC is a developer and manager of Grade ‘A’ commercial office spaces in selected core markets in Colombo. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively canvass and explore untapped markets, industry segments, and geographic regions to expand our business footprint.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans that align with the company’s objectives and growth targets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, and direct outreach.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline and maintain long-term relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored proposals and solutions that address client needs and maximize value.
- Support marketing alignment to ensure campaigns and messaging support business development goals.
- Stay updated on market levels, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform strategies and decision-making.
- Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports for leadership on business development progress and forecasts.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role, ideally in a B2B environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify new revenue streams and create effective go-to-market plans.
- Experience in contributing to business-led promotional efforts.
- Results-oriented with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
