McLarens Group is now seeking an aspiring, energetic, and competent individual to join its subsidiary company, Spectra Logistics (Pvt) Limited. Spectra is one of Sri Lanka’s leading providers of end-to-end logistics services encompassing contract logistics, container depot, integrated transportation, and customs brokerage. We meet our customers’ logistics and supply chain needs through a combination of our operational and service excellence and our extensive resources, which include the Spectra Distribution Center at the Spectra Logistics Park in Wattala and a well-equipped container yard with our own vehicle fleet.
Finance Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate financial closings and reporting.
- Prepare annual budgets and daily, monthly, and annual accounts for SPL & SPIL.
- Analyze profitability reports and provide financial recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, the Companies Act, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement stronger internal controls and support internal/external audits.
- Conduct risk analysis, manage credit lines, and monitor debtor days.
- Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support planning.
- Review financial reports and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Handle banking operations, negotiate with banks and suppliers, and manage payment plans.
- Coordinate with shared services on reconciliations, asset capitalization, and financial schedules.
- Liaise with auditors, IRD, government authorities, and internal departments.
- Manage monthly projections, tax matters (including SVAT), and group reporting.
- Authorize payments, monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and support team development with HR.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Professional qualification in CIMA, CA, or ACCA.
- An MBA qualification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax processes, and accounting software.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Prior experience with Oracle systems is an added advantage.
- Overall experience of at least 5 + years in the finance field.
