We're looking for a Senior Manager Supply Chain - Colombo

The Senior Manager Supply Chain will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all project office supply chain functions within Save the Children and will be solely responsible for managing logistics and procurement for the PALAM/A project. The role will ensure timely procurement and distribution of essential supplies, such as school meals, teacher training materials, and nutrition support, which are integral to boosting school enrollment, attendance, and literacy outcomes.

Key Areas of Accountability

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain management, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance within the Project Office framework.
  • Ensure timely delivery and distribution of supplies essential for the PALAM/A program, supporting its educational and nutritional objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, government partners, and external stakeholders to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure that procurement, storage, handling, and distribution of all goods strictly adhere to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Regulations.
  • Oversee fleet management and warehousing, optimizing assets to align with Save the Children’s policies and donor guidelines.
  • Develop strategies to integrate sustainability into procurement processes, ensuring environmental and ethical sourcing principles are upheld.
