Tax Executive

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and process VAT, SSCL, WHT, and Corporate Income Tax computations, ensuring timely payments and accurate reporting.
- Review financial records to identify potential tax exposures or opportunities for efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and statutory schedules.
- Maintain Withholding Tax (WHT) records, including issuing WHT certificates and collecting WHT certificates from third parties.
- Stay current with tax regulations and ensure full compliance with local laws.
- Coordinate with the internal finance team to gather relevant documentation.
- Handle correspondence and maintain effective communication with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
- Keep all tax-related documentation organized and up to date.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Part qualification in CA / CIMA / ACCA or a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
- Two to Three years of work experience in a Tax Environment.
- Proficiency in IRD’s RAMIS system is essential.
- Hands-on experience with computer-based accounting and ERP system.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
- Following taxation related professional exams would be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Corporate Income Tax, VAT, SSCL, WHT, PAYE, and related tax regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure.
