We are looking for a Social Media Manager
As a Social Media Manager, we rely on you to;
- Oversee and grow Shangri-La Hambantota’s social media presence across platforms, ensuring brand consistency in tone and visuals.
- Create and schedule engaging content showcasing the resort’s experiences and offers, aligned with brand and audience expectations.
- Collaborate with the regional marketing team to plan and deliver marketing assets for local and regional use.
- Lead monthly social media reporting with insights, performance data, and competitor analysis.
- Plan and run paid social campaigns to boost bookings, dining, and events, in coordination with internal teams.
- Align social media messaging with broader brand and campaign goals for timely promotion of key initiatives.
- Manage influencer partnerships from outreach to execution and post-campaign reporting.
- Coordinate with digital advertising teams to align organic and paid social strategies.
- Track competitors and trends; introduce innovative content to maintain engagement and visibility.
- Stay updated on algorithm changes and content metrics to guide strategy.
- Propose and test new formats, platforms, and initiatives to boost reach and engagement.
- Act as the main contact for regional campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of property-specific content and assets.
We are looking for someone who;
- Is passionate about storytelling and knows how to bring a brand to life through engaging digital content.
- Has proven experience managing social media platforms, with a strong grasp of trends, algorithms, and audience engagement strategies.
- Possesses a creative eye for detail, strong visual sense, and excellent content curation skills.
- Understands the importance of aligning social content with brand identity and business goals.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is confident in managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders.
- Is experienced in working with influencers and content creators to amplify brand reach and visibility.
- Is data-savvy, able to analyze performance metrics, generate reports, and optimize content strategies accordingly.
- Brings fresh ideas to the table and is not afraid to test new formats, trends, or platforms.
- Is an excellent communicator with strong copywriting skills and fluency in English (and local language).
- Is enthusiastic, self-driven, and committed to delivering digital excellence with a guest-centric mindset.
