ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT / TAX
Jafferjee and Sons (PVT) Ltd is a tea exporting company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team. Our office is located on Kandy-Colombo Road, Peliyagoda. We are specifically looking for candidates residing near Peliyagoda or Kelaniya.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of CIT, VAT, SSCL, WHT and stamp duty computations, schedules and filing of returns.
- Maintaining VAT and SVAT invoice details and uploading SVAT forms 03, 06 AND SVAT 06 into RAMIS.
- Handling IRD matters, including assessment tax defaults and issues before the tax appeals commission.
- Arrange all tax payments.
Requirements and skills
- Experience in accounting, finance or related field (or pursuing)
- 1-3 year experience in accounting or tax
- Knowledge of basic tax principle and accounting standards.
- Knowledge of New Risk-Based Refund Scheme
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
