The Job:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Merchandiser – Fabrics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing fabric sourcing, development, and procurement processes to meet quality, cost, and lead time objectives for both development and bulk production.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end fabric sourcing and development from brief to bulk.
- Build and maintain strong local and international supplier networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on fabric specs, cost, and performance.
- Ensure on-time fabric deliveries for sampling and production.
- Oversee quality, testing, and compliance with customer standards.
- Resolve fabric-related issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabric merchandising or sourcing in the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, finishes, textile testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
