SENIOR EXECUTIVE – COLOUR LAB
Location – Teejay Lanka PLC – Avissawella
We are looking for an Executive – Dyeing to assist the process of dyeing and drive for operational excellence to align with organizational vision and mission.
The Job
Primary job role will be:
- Schedule lab dyes based on priorities received from the Merchandizers and arrange the lab dyes for submission.
- Perform colour matching of lab dyes (lab-dips) using the spectrophotometer (DCI match software/colour tools software, smart match option) as a guide to select the best / most cost-effective recipe in order.
- Create recipes as per the production technical specifications and ensure accuracy of data to facilitate smooth continuity of the dyeing process.
- Calibrate machines/equipment and attend to maintenance in coordination with suppliers to satisfy the accreditation requirements.
- Carry out dyestuff and Chemical calibrations for new deliveries. (To ensure new deliveries are suitable for production)
- Working with customers for the related colour approvals by communicating technical details correctly to expedite the approval process.
The Person
- BSc Degree / Diploma in Textile and Clothing (NDT) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute
- 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred
- Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- Task prioritization, time management, multi-tasking ability and result oriented while being a good team player
- Should also be proactive, assertive and self-driven with the ability to work in pressurized situations.
