Shipping Assistant (Male)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/HND in Business Administration, supply chain or a related field from a recognized university or institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in shipping or logistics (apparel industry experience is an added advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with BOI procedures, sub procedure, P&R process and local, international shipping documentation is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with hands-on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Check shipping summaries and update planning reports regularly.
  • Coordinate with the packing section, key accounts team, and UK office regarding specific shipping requirements.
  • Verify packing lists against consignments to ensure accuracy.
  • Reserve air and sea freight shipments and coordinate cargo bookings with freight agents.
  • Prepare and submit invoices separately for air and sea freight consignments.
  • Submit export documentation to the BOI after each shipment.
  • Provide relevant documents to freight forwarders accurately and on time.
  • Communicate shipment details to key accounts, freight and clearing agents, the UK office, and the finance team.
  • Dispatch original shipping documents to respective parties via courier services.
  • Compile and send shipping summaries to the UK and Rainwear offices.
  • Prepare documentation to obtain necessary BOI permissions for incoming and outgoing sub-goods.
