Scope
The Sample Room In-Charge will be responsible for managing the complete sample development process for baby wear, ensuring all samples meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. This role involves close coordination with design, merchandising, pattern making, and sewing teams to produce accurate and high-quality samples.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end sample development process for baby wear collections.
- Coordinate with design, merchandising, and pattern teams to ensure timely sample delivery.
- Monitor sample quality, fitting standards, and construction techniques.
- Manage sample room staff and ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain records of sample inventory and approvals.
- Ensure adherence to international safety and compliance standards specific to baby wear.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in handling sample rooms in the apparel industry.
- Prior experience in baby wear is essential.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and sewing techniques.
- Ability to manage a team and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent capability of sawing is a must.
