Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols
- Experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and O365 management
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux
- Relevant certifications such as MCSA, CCNA, or Azure certifications will be considered an added advantage
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices
Scope & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and related hardware/software
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with best practices
- Perform regular security monitoring to detect and respond to potential intrusions
- Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly, and update administrative tools and utilities
- Maintain accurate system documentation and inventory records
- Collaborate with IT staff to plan and implement system upgrades and improvements
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards
- Monitor and maintain UPS systems and access control systems
- Proactively monitor CCTV, Wi-Fi, and video conferencing systems, resolve connectivity issues, and ensure 100% uptime
- Communicate and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal performance of network and IT infrastructure
