Senior Manager - Operations
American Premium Water, the pioneer in Sri Lanka’s bottled water industry & a market leader in the FMCG sector in Sri Lanka with a staff strength of over 1200, with an extended reach across Logistics & SCM, Construction, Polymer Packaging sectors within Sri Lanka as well as other Asian markets, is looking for a Senior Manager - Operations for immediate employment. The ideal candidate should be dynamic, highly motivated, and results oriented.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the delivery team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Monitor delivery targets and ensure the achievement of set goals
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
- Prepare and present sales forecasts and performance reports
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and change across the delivery teams through regular reviews and communication to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and maximize resources
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency
- Address and handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Recruit, train, and supervise delivery personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Manage direct reports’ schedules, time and attendance, leave requests, and work assignments
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in operations management, preferably in the logistics or delivery industry
- Experience in marketing, sales, and distribution operations in the FMCG sector will be an added advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with proficiency in logistics software and knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala; knowledge of Tamil would be a distinct advantage
- Dynamic, energetic, self-motivated individual who can work independently, with excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in Colombo or its suburbs
