Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing market trends, consumer preferences, and sales data to effectively select and manage merchandise for both retail and wholesale operations. You will play a critical role in supplier relationships, product sourcing, and ensuring our merchandise aligns with promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis & Product Selection: Analyse market trends, consumer preferences, and sales data to curate product assortments that meet customer needs and maximize sales.
- Supplier & Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality products at competitive prices.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favourable deals and ensure product availability.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure merchandise assortments align with promotional and marketing strategies.
- Stock Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels to meet customer demand and avoid stockouts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Background: Degree or Diploma in Merchandising, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related fields (SLIM/CIM/BCCT) with strong computer literacy.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in merchandising or procurement, ideally in the fashion industry.
- Fashion Design Knowledge: An understanding of fashion trends and product design is an added advantage.
- Communication Skills: Strong command of English with excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- Age: Applicants should be between 24-35 years old.
