Accounts Executive - Queen’s Hotel, Kandy

We are looking for a detail-oriented and professional Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting tasks. Responsibilities include handling invoices, payments, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records and ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting principles.
  • Process incoming and outgoing payments, issue invoices, track outstanding receivables, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external use.
  • Reconcile company bank statements with internal records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Track expenditures against budgets and assist in analyzing variances and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by organizing and presenting financial data and relevant documentation.
  • Assist with salary processing, employee reimbursements, and maintaining payroll records when needed.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting software and regularly updated.
  • Communicate with banks, vendors, customers, and auditors to resolve account-related issues and maintain smooth financial operations.

Candidates should possess:

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • Part qualifications acquired from ICASL / CIMA/ACCA.
  • Familiarity with store management and inventory records.
  • A working knowledge of Accounting Software package (Scienter) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
