Inventory Executive
Position Summary:
The Inventory Executive will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company inventory, including costing of shipments. Maintaining accurate inventory records, managing inventory levels, coordinating inventory audits, optimizing inventory processes, and ensuring accurate costing of shipments to maximize profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and stock transactions using inventory management software/systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and storage of incoming inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock counts with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Formulate, Implement, and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, damages, and obsolescence.
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Calculate and analyze the costing of shipments, including freight charges, customs duties, and other related expenses.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate costing of shipments and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of inventory items.
- Train and supervise relevant staff to ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Associate Degree In a relevant field (Preferred in Accounting)
- 3 - 5 Years of Experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in inventory management software/systems (e.g., SAP & QuickBooks).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
