Position Overview – Store Keeper
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Store Keeper to oversee the operations of our main construction materials store. This role is vital in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing daily store activities, and supporting the smooth flow of materials to our ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory records using manual and digital systems (MS Excel or QB).
- Receive, inspect, label, and store materials and equipment according to standards.
- Issue materials based on approved requests and ensure proper documentation.
- Perform periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper organization within the store.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
- Coordinate with site teams for timely material delivery and tracking.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (construction industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse procedures, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel, inventory software, or QB.
- Familiarity with construction materials and mechanical items.
- Good communication, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
- High level of integrity, discipline, and responsibility.
Working Conditions:
- Based at the main store (Kadawatha), with coordination across multiple project sites.
- May involve occasional travel to site stores or suppliers.
- Ability to work extended hours and under pressure during peak periods.
