Administrative Assistant
Legal and Development Consultants (LDC), a consultancy firm offering legal, international development and humanitarian services seeks a dynamic and competent Administrative Assistant.
This is not a permanent staff position and initially a six month contract will be issued which will be extended based on performance.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or Law.
- Candidates who are following CIMA or AAT qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
- In lieu of formal education, 1–2 years of relevant experience as a personal/administrative assistant (or similar role), including budget management and basic accounting tasks.
Language Proficiency:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala.
- Proficiency in Tamil will be considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to interact professionally and clearly with clients at all levels.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Google Drive, MS Office and using Google Drive and Google Forms.
- Familiarity with AI tools and awareness of global technological trends.
Work Schedule:
Must be available for work from Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits:
- A monthly salary commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clear, daily communication with clients.
- Schedule, coordinate, and document partner/board meetings and client engagements.
- Organize logistical arrangements for staff as needed (travel, events, etc.).
- Conduct research and prepare reports, presentations, and briefs.
- Manage confidential information with discretion.
- Oversee financial tasks: expense reporting, budgeting, and invoicing.
- Collaborate closely with Partners and staff.
- Record meeting minutes and track action items to ensure follow-through.
- Maintain case files and case ledgers as instructed by the Partners.
