Accountant / Assistant Accountant (2 positions)
Phillip Consultancy, an outstanding Sri Lankan-based outsourcing partner for a reputed Chartered Accountancy firm in UK, is excited to announce an opening for the position of Accountant/Assistant Accountant (Locations: Kelaniya and Ambalangoda). Key responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate annual financial statements to comply with the Accounting Standards, Corporation Tax Returns, VAT returns, and other management reports on an ad-hoc basis
- Oversee the work of subordinates (4-6 members) and train them where necessary to perform their duties efficiently and effectively
- Collaborate with the SL and UK team to manage allocated tasks
- Other accounting and administration work assigned on an ad-hoc basis
- Reporting to the UK manager
Requirements
Must
- Must be qualified/part qualified in CA/ACCA/CIMA or full qualified in AAT
- Must have minimum two years of experience in a reputed audit firm (experience in annual account preparation highly preferable)
Followings will be added advantage to your application
- BPO experience/previous UK annual account preparation experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks online version) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and team management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and manage the team to achieve tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- Willing to work on UK working hours (From 12.30 pm to 8.30 pm in Sri Lankan Time)
