Merchandising Manager - Bulk
Location: Head Office, Colombo 4.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a transparent timely communication channel while maintaining a high level of business relationship with customers, creating a smooth business flow & satisfaction.
- Prepare CP - Well defined time lines to meet planned PCD & OTD.
- Ensure 100% material availability to PCD.
- Bulk cut plan approvals - Quick respond required.
- Ensure timely PP meeting to achieve on time production commence (PCD).
- Intervene for bulk issues in process and offer timely decisions to ensure quality product & productivity.
- Monitor production plan with planning & relevant teams to ensure production meets agreed OTD.
- Monitor OTD & OTF (On Time Full) - Shipping 2% extra is must.
- Monitor and eliminate lost time /down time due to martial non availability.
- Analysis un-utilized material & allocate while understanding the reason for extra material to avoid repetition.
- Monitor supplier performance, providing feedback, assessing supplier capabilities with relevant teams & update.
- Weekly communication with mills for current order status.
- Prepare weekly sales plan - Planned vs Actual.
- Prepare cost of failure report & identify recovery method.
- Prepare weekly payment plan to manage finance flow.
- Streamline co-ordination between production unit, sampling & commercial team for smooth flow of information.
- Weekly customer CP meeting - Understand issues & fix.
- Attend to customer complaints & make sure to correct and close in timely manner.
- Optimum team performance - Guiding team to improve their performance, knowledge, capabilities through continuous enhance to meet current & future demands while upgrading their levels.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree or Diploma from a recognized university in relevant field or any other recognized qualification.
- 4+ years experience in a similar capacity in a reputed Manufacturing company preferably a Group of Companies.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills coupled with computer literacy.
- Experience in handling UK/ European customers will be a definite advantage.
