Assistant Engineer

ETAC (Outsourced)

The Assistant Engineer – ETAC is responsible for 24/7 complaint handling from enterprise customers through various channels, ensuring timely acknowledgment and resolution within SLA. The role involves first-level complaints analysis, coordinating with internal teams and vendors for resolution, and maintaining accurate documentation. Additionally, the engineer will generate reports, track complaint trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Telecommunications, IT, or Networking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze logs, trace issues, and resolve technical faults.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and virtualized environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
  • Ability to address customer needs with urgency and empathy.
  • Understanding of APIs, middleware, and integration platforms.
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and evolving technologies.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in both English and Sinhala.
  • Familiarity with Cellular, Transmission, Core Network, Billing, Firewall, and PABX systems.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis, including weekends.
